Abstract
Individual sticks with students' names (name sticks) are placed by the door to a classroom for severely/profoundly handicapped students. The sticks are used to monitor the location of students at all times during the day. Such monitoring is extremely important if an emergency should arise that would require evacuation of the classroom. The paper that follows describes in detail the emergency evacuation procedures using the name sticks.
