Abstract
Needs assessments can be used for many purposes. This articles outlines four major reasons to conduct a needs assessment. This information is followed by a description of the needs assessment conducted by the Pyramid Project through the Gifted Students Institute as a follow up to the Richardson Study. A case study of one district participating is described with the major findings from the study.
