Abstract
This crochet piece was begun after Aaron Bushnell’s act of protest and completed over the course of a year and a half. Measuring at 50″ × 58″, made with 21,025 half-double crochet stitches, a 4.00 mm hook and medium-weight acrylic yarn, it reflects endurance and care through creative expression. The work became a meditative response to global suffering and a way to draw attention where it is often averted.
