The following errors have been identified in p.5:
The referenced paper should be (ICRP, 2007c), not (ICRP, 2007b), and (ICRP, 2007b), not (ICRP, 2007d), respectively. The corrected sentences are: ‘Publication 105 (ICRP, 2007c) was prepared to describe, generally, how the system of protection in the Commission’s 2007 Recommendations (ICRP, 2007b) applies to radiological protection in medicine, while several subsequent publications have dealt with this subject in more detail for specific medical applications.’ and ‘As noted in the 2007 Recommendations (ICRP, 2007b), medical exposures are incurred within planned exposure situations.’.
The following error has been identified in p.6:
The referenced paper should be (ICRP, 2007c), not (ICRP, 2007b). The corrected sentence is: ‘This includes the details of the proposed procedure and of alternative procedures, the characteristics of the individual patient, the expected dose to the patient, and the availability of information on previous or expected examinations or treatment’ (ICRP, 2007c, Para. 67).’.
The following error has been identified in Para.9, p.17–18:
The referenced paper should be Publication 103, not Publication 105. The corrected sentence is: ‘The tissue weighting factors are those recommended in Publication 103 (ICRP, 2007b) and given in Table 2.1.’.
The following error has been identified in Para.58, p.31:
The sentence should be written as ‘Knowledge and correct use of appropriate radiographic exposure factors [e.g. focal spot size, filtration, focus to image plane distance, and the tube current– exposure time product (mAs product), tube voltage] is necessary because they have a considerable impact on image quality, and this may have implications for patient radiation exposure.’.
