Abstract
Seeing a person repeat a given behavior may increase perceptions of consistency. Therefore, frequency information may have an impact similar to consistency information. Our model, based on associative network theory, makes the opposite predictions: frequency information will decrease actor-attributions under low-consensus, low-distinctiveness; and decrease entity attributions under high-consensus, high-distinctiveness. Predicted information type by frequency interaction was significant.
