Abstract
In this study, 62 members of college fraternities were analyzed for the degree of association between personality characteristics and the selection of behavioral settings. There was a strong relationship between trait scores of Energetic and selecting a setting where energetic behavior could occur (r = .62; p C .001). Similarly, there was a strong relationship between trait scores of Sociable and selecting a setting where direct social interaction could occur (r = 53;-p .001). The findings indicated that selection of settings may be an area of behavior that is predictable from personality trait scores.
