Abstract
Two separate studies of third person instigated aggression are reported. In the first study the results demonstrated that males with traditional attitudes toward women instigated aggression significantly more than males with liberal attitudes. Also, males with traditional attitudes instigated females more than males, while those with liberal attitudes instigated males and females similarly. In the second study, it was observed that females with traditional attitudes and females with liberal attitudes instigated similar amounts of aggression. The females also instigated males and females similarly.
