Acts 10:44-48 is historically accurate in revealing a fact of fundamental importance for the beginnings of Christianity: that the admission of Gentiles into the early communities was the result of their manifesting glossolalia and other gifts of the Holy Spirit at meetings of existing Jewish congregations.
