During his sky journeys as reported in 2nd (Slavonic) Enoch, he hears the “indescribable singing of the army of cherubim.” This article seeks to investigate the nature of the singing the author might have heard. Insights from psychological anthropology and ethnomusicology assist in discovering culturally plausible answers.
