Abstract
This article summarizes the Value Orientations Model developed by Florence Kluckhohn and Fred Strodtbeck (1961) and surveys publications in which the model has been used as an aid to cross-cultural interpretation of the New Testament (History). Like the Documentary Hypothesis and the Two-Source Hypothesis, this social science model has weathered challenges and proved itself adaptable to modifications and innovative applications especially in conjunction with other models (Prospects).
