Sixty seven practicing diabetes edu cators attended a day-long seminar on patient education in Nashville, Ten nessee. At the end of the conference, participants recorded specific inten tions to revise their practice and the extent of actual accomplishment was assessed via mail three months later. On the average, each participant listed just over three intentions and had a 60% implementation rate. Results are discussed in terms of the strengths and weaknesses of the evaluation tech nique.
