Abstract
An unusually high rate of visual impairment among Dogrip people in isolated communities of Canada's Northwest Territories has led the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) to embark on a three-year program. The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) has made $60,000 available for the program. Initial assessment revealed several critical needs that are now being addressed.
