Abstract
The following program was originally devised to coordinate the development of skills in orientation, hearing and unaided mobility with small groups of clients, but quickly developed to encompass other basic and essential skills and techniques that are the goal of any comprehensive program of rehabilitation. The outcome was encouraging to all involved, and appeared to act as a stimulus for many to undertake a full mobility program with the long cane.
