A program editor that communicates with its users through synthesized speech is described. It is intended for programming by visually impaired persons in the basic language. Recent growth in personal computers has made it possible for visually impaired individuals to operate a microcomputer. This editor is designed to assist him in the development of programs on his own in an interactive environment.
