Abstract
Gives a select overview of the purpose, process and procedures which are involved in Neonatal Vision Screening. Specific information is derived as to the strenths and weaknesses of the child's visual functioning from use of an assessment tool. Advantages as well as disadvantages for use of such a tool aimed at early intervention are discussed. Significant responses and reactions worth noting are outlined so an evaluator might have an indication of what to look for in using such a tool. Recurring observations among the general population screened, and adaptive techniques found to be useful during assessment, are presented.
