Abstract
The Honorable Mitsuo Tanaka, Japanese Consul General in New York, made some perceptive remarks concerning the place of blind people in society in an address on March 11, 1958. The occasion was Mr. Tanaka's acceptance, in behalf of Ryuhei Kimura, a blind citizen of Japan, of an award for excellence in a literary competition, from the Jewish Braille Institute of America, Inc.
