Abstract
Mr. Uhler entered work for the blind over a year ago, being called into the field at the time the Evergreen Staff was being organized. He is head of the Academic Department, at the Red Cross Institute for the Blind, his chief work being concerned with the Business English Courses. Mr. Uhler received his degree of Bachelor of Arts from The Johns Hopkins University. For some time he was head of the Department of English, at Ogden College, Kentucky, and later became an instructor of English composition and Public Speaking at The Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Uhler has also had considerable experience in the newspaper world. He studied for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy at Princeton University and at Johns Hopkins, postponing it both on account of the war and entrance into work for the blind.
