A survey of the sexual knowledge of 104 visually impaired and 180 sighted adolescents in Taiwan revealed that the sighted adolescents were better informed than were the visually impaired adolescents and that both groups were least knowledgeable about sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and the most knowledgeable about anatomy. The sighted adolescents sought information mainly from their peers, and the visually impaired adolescents did so from their teachers.
