Abstract
Population, national and per capita income increase will be reflected in greater energy demand. By 2010 30% larger than in 1990 for OECD countries and 120% for the rest of the world. The share of oil in primary energy demand is expected to decline from the present 39.5% to 37%. Nevertheless, the quantity of oil demand will continue to increase by about 1.3 mb/d per year rising to more than 92 mb/d by 2010.
