Abstract
Since the foundation of the People's Republic of China, the Government has paid attention to the development and utilization of new energy resources. Although their development is rapid at present, it is still regarded as supplementary energy. It has only played an important role in the balance between energy supply and consumption in rural areas, some islands and for some defence purposes. China should conduct studies on the technology for new energy development so that the use of new energy will increase rapidly.
