Abstract
The 5th IEA International Conference on Coal Science was held in Tokyo from October 23 to 27, 1989.
510 people from 29 countries participated in the conference with 284 research reports (consisting of 182 oral sessions and 102 poster sessions), and actively exchanged information with each other.
