Abstract
Trends in the development of economic and production management in kibbutzim are examined in a general comparative framework of productive cooperation and self-management. The influence of such internal processes on the single SM enterprise's ability of survival in and coping with a capitalist economic environment is studied with reference to the concept of 'degeneration of cooperatives'.
