Abstract
The traditional approach to the calculation of condensation makes many assumptions and completely disregards certain physical properties. This note details a model which was developed for use on PC-type computers using finite element analysis, and a year's recorded weather data to predict the amount of condensation which will occur in the roofspace in a typical year. This model also incorporates the heating produced by the act of condensation, the effect of radiation to the atmosphere at night, and re-evaporation of any condensation.
