The CIBSE Guide provides monthly and annual means of the daily solar irradiation for surfaces of five orientations. However, the data are provided for only one site in south-east England. In this work a validated anisotropic model for the diffuse radiance is used in conjunction with measured hourly horizontal irradiation data to generate average daily irradiation tables for seven sites covering most of England, Wales and Scotland.
