The term ‘flux temperature’ is used here to denote a quantity with the status of a driving temperature made up as the sum of another temperature and a heat flow term. The flux temperature so formed exemplifies Thévenin's theorem in a thermal situation. Some examples are given of its use in relation to building thermal design procedures.
