Abstract
A review of the problems of integrating and co-ordinating building services in any construction. The paper considers the historical problem, defines the requirements for integration and reviews the various factors affecting co-ordination, particularly the area of conflict between the various team members. Recommendations are made and advice given on design procedures and management structure, related to the whole problem of communications and the limiting effect of the present agreement under which services engineers are normally appointed. Reference is made to other current investigations into the problem.
