Abstract
Continuing education is commonly cited as a mark of professionalism, wherein individuals participate regularly in development activities designed to enhance professional skills. Given that suggestions for compulsory attendance have traditionally been viewed with caution, the continuing education mandate for the nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP) suggests a new agenda for professionals in the USA. This article explores issues concerning continuing professional development and highlights options for school psychologists.
