Abstract
Various points identified in this Special Issue by Nixon, Wechsler and Guzzo, Xie, Guillemard, Ezeilo and Dubrovina in their response to our survey data are summarized. The major themes discussed in this article include the need to strike a balance between professional uniformity and diversity, to maintain a strong research commitment, to develop and maintain strong professional associations at national and international levels, to create an international institute on school psychology, to conduct subsequent international studies on school psychology and to design them so as to overcome possible limitations in the current study.
