Abstract
This article describes a brief intervention family systems approach with a twelve-year-old boy and his family. The sixth-grade student, oldest of three children, lived with both parents. The school psychologist and school counselor worked conjointly with the family during four intervention sessions over a six-week period. Specific therapeutic techniques are discussed with resultant changes. School psychologist and school counselor working together became a catalyst for addressing mental health needs of children in school settings.
