Abstract
There is a lack of complete and systematic results of surveys which give purposeful, concrete assistance in the early identification and counselling of potentially highly gifted children. The second section includes relevant results for psychological counselling from two research projects in progress. Finally, recommendations for schooling and education policy, methods of research and psychological counselling are discussed.
