Recent Finnish education laws have placed great emphasis on comprehensive school teachers to concentrate on pupils' personal development and mental health. This has led to the setting up of multidisciplinary teams consisting of a school's headteacher, class teacher, psychologist, health nurse, doctor, study guidance teacher and other specialist teachers.
