Abstract
The aim of this contribution is to survey briefly the present state of school psychology in Czechoslovakia and to point out the possibilities for its development in the near future as well as in the long term. I do not intend to present an exhaustive analysis of these problems. I shall concentrate rather on the illumination of some key problems which would provide a complex picture of these problems in cross-section; namely from the theoretical point of view in the main, in the explanation of the subject and of the tasks of this psychological discipline, and from the practical point of view in the application of school psychological services.
