Abstract
This editorial differs from others of its type in that it will, it is hoped, give both a general direction and concrete specific advice on how to bring up children. In a world filled with contrary notions about parenthood, parents yearn to use methods that are based on scientific studies as well as on meaningful basic intuitive ways of carrying out the most vital job of our existence. It is the most important of all our endeavours because it not only influences the life of the next generation of parents but also perpetuates ideas and behaviours in generations to come.
