Abstract
Influenced by governmental policy, school psychological services in the Chinese mainland are a recent phenomenon with a history of only about 20 years, which can be divided into two stages: exploration and development. To give a comprehensive account of the development of school psychological services in the Chinese mainland, this article reviews their developmental history, analyses their status quo and features, identifies some contemporary problems, and suggests possible directions for the future development.
