Abstract
Migrant workers are a special concern of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung offices in Southeast Asia. Its Philippine Office works with various non-government organizations and has supported programs to enhance awareness of labor migration issues and to promote the human and political rights of migrant workers. FES recently initiated a regional project to facilitate more cooperation between migrant NGOs and trade unions in the promotion of migrants' rights and empowerment.
