Abstract
This article provides an overview of the experience of the Migrant Forum in Asia (MFA), a network of migrant organizations in Asia, in building alliances with trade unions in the promotion of migrants' rights. MFA members have had different levels of engagement with trade unions in addressing migrant workers' issues. A more concerted approach to working with trade unions started in 2003. MFA's cooperation with trade unions in Indonesia and Singapore is highlighted in the paper.
