The effects of some boron compounds on the curing characteristics of natural rubber-, nitrile rubber-, and silicone rubber-based gum vulcanizates have been studied. The kinetic parameters have been evaluated through analy sis of rheographs using Coran's model. For comparison of the related parame ters, results of swelling measurements have been included. The identified retardability of a boron compound has been compared with that of conventional retarders.
