Equilibrium swelling of polychloro-p-xylylene vapor deposited film in selected solvents at 293 K (20 ° C) was used to estimate the cohesion pa rameters of the polymer. Swell data gave predicted cohesion values of 18 MPa1/2 for the dispersive cohesion parameter, 8 MPa1/2 for the polar cohesion parame ter, 0 MPa1/2 for the hydrogen bonding parameter, and 21 MPa1/2 for the total cohesion parameter of the polymer. A maximum swell of 3.1% was observed with O -dichlorobenzene as the solvent.
