Abstract
Ageing and weathering behavior of mica-filled SBR (1502) composites have been studied at different temperatures for various times with special attention to the effects of silane coupling agents in the compounds. Tensile and tear prop erties have been correlated with SEM fractographs. The kinetics of property degradation have been investigated in the light of the Arrhenius equation. Finally attempts have been made to express the property degradation with suitable mathematical form.
