Abstract
This paper reviews product advances for filling thermoplastic composites. Mica generally provides a desirable balance of property improvements including in creased tensile strength, isotropic properties, and decreased mold shrinkage. Magnetic composites are emerging as a new technology. These molded magnets are being used in energy conversion applications including time-motor rotors, magnetic indicators and sensors and beam-focusing devices for TV receivers and ion pumps.
