Glass content, in all modes of stress application, is the most powerful of factors in the improvement of all aspects of SMC behavior. Proper selection of resin/glass-type combinations for maximum compatibil ity is a major formulation concern. The improvements due to thickening by in-situ formed urethane of ITP resins are demonstrated.
