Abstract
In the automotive industry, new demands for adhesive and sealant applications are constantly being created by new structural designs, safety requirements, and materials of construction. For example, through the use of filler and elastomeric materials in adhesives, a reduction in noise level may be accomplished. Struc tural adhesives are used in bonding brake linings, disc pads, clutch facings, and automatic transmission bands.
