Abstract
The next large market now developing for fluoroelastomers is the automobile. Emphasis on reliability resulting from extended warranties is resulting in the use of longer-lasting fluoroelastomer seals. Such critical items as carburetor valve tips are being made from fluoroelastomers. This article describes a new type of fluoro elastomer called Fluorel which yields compression sets approxi mately one-half of those previously attainable.
