The effects of palm oil fatty acid additive (POFA) on curing characteristics and vulcanizates properties of silica filled natural rubber compounds were studied. The incorporation of POFA shows a beneficial effect by improving the cure rate and state of cure of the compounds. Compared to control compound, the incorporation of POFA not only enhances the vulcanizates properties but also improve the reversion resistance of the silica filled natural rubber compounds.
