Abstract
This issue of Latin American Perspectives is dedicated to the memory of Che Guevara on the twentieth anniversary of his death in Bolivia. His life was the personification of revolutionary idealism and practice, and his heroic struggle continues to be an inspiration to those who fight against social injustice and oppression throughout the Third World. To commemorate Che's life and death, the editorial collective of Latin American Perspectives has decided to publish the last paragraph of his farewell letter to his children as well as a poem written in his honor by the well-known Cuban poet Nicolás Guillén.
