Abstract
Violent behavior is found among individuals in whom aggression is poorly controlled as a result of psycho-organic disturbance, acute psychological distress, or paranoid symptomatology. This article provides a comprehensive overview of psychiatric literature describing each of these categories, and provides a model to account for violent action.
