Abstract
The following satire reflects the horrors of the prison system through a conversation between the author and his conscience (Virgil). Some of the moral, ethical, and social issues regarding the prison system are examined. It is evident that the system is in great need of a safer environment for its inhabitants. The author feels that the present system is outmoded and should be disbanded in favor of a more humane one.
