Abstract
This paper covers the perspective of practicing physicians on cost-effectiveness studies. Practicing physicians need practice-oriented information. They need to be able to link cost and efficacy in justifying or refuting managed care guidelines and making intelligent decisions on hospital formularies. Practicing physicians also need to be able to communicate with researchers, to understand modeling and statistical analysis. Physicians have concerns about cost-effectiveness studies done in Phase II trials.
