Abstract
The focus of this paper is a definition of what Coopers & Lybrand considers to be the best practices currently in use by commercial organizations to test and validate their systems. The material presented is a distillation of the company's research and experiences in the field, and draws from activities in all commercial sectors. The topic is covered in three major sections: some basic definitions, an overview of best practice, and some concluding remarks.
