Abstract
Clinical investigators will regard the “Guidelines for Good Clinical Research Practice (GCRP) in Australia” recently released by the federal government as an important step forward, despite some potential concerns, since they will do much to ensure a uniformly high standard of clinical research. The need to give research subjects full information, and to maintain their privacy, is an integral part of GCRP. GCRP will benefit everyone—experimental subjects, investigators, sponsors, and the community.
